How did AKcess get my contact information?
We obtain contacts by several
means. Primarily, you may have entered a promotion, event or competition for a
product or company, who has contracted AK Insights Ltd. to develop and/or manage
the database compiled from that promotion, and who has given AK Insights
permission to contact you on its own behalf or that of AK Insights’. Perhaps you
are a member of a school or business association of which persons associated
with AK Insights are also members. In all cases, you have been contacted because
it was felt that certain information, products or offers may be of value to you,
and so you have been added to our mailing list to receive relevant information.
It is important to note that whatever the
scenario, you can easily opt-out of future communication from AK Insights or the
AKcess Consumer Club, if you so desire. Instructions on how to do this are
contained in every message from AK Insights or AKcess.
AK Insights/AKcess will not send you anything
you no longer wish to receive.
Who is AK Insights?
AK Insights Ltd. is a database management and direct marketing company. You can
read more about AK Insights on the main page of this website.
Will AKcess give my personal details to
other parties?
All personal details maintained by the AKcess Consumer Club remain under the
complete control of AKcess and/or the original database source. AKcess does not
provide member details to clients or other third parties. All communication with
you is sent by/through AKcess directly, and not our clients or third parties.
Clients are provided with only aggregate statistics about our database contents
and NOT individual, personal details. In instances where contact between the
client and yourself is required, you will be given instructions on how to
initiate such contact yourself, if you choose to.
How is the AKcess program different from
other membership programs?
Short answer: BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS!!!!
Long answer: Most other membership and loyalty
programs have one thing in common - they are designed with the company/provider
in mind, NOT the consumer, i.e. not you. Many are point based programs, where
you spend months, sometimes years trying to spend enough money to earn a $30
gift. Then you are either presented with limited options for redeeming that
$30.00 or no options at all. Other programs try to take things one step further
by sending you coupons of pre-selected products. The only problem is that they
don’t spend the time to send you offers that are relevant to you, so you find
yourself with 12 months worth of tuna or baby wipes coupons and no use for
either. Very few programs today are true loyalty-type programs that provide
value in exchange for your membership. When you signed up for such programs, you
probably provided a host of personal, lifestyle and preference details, which is
hardly ever used.
At the very least a membership program, in addition to offers and discounts,
should also be able to provide you with information, tips, advice, recipes,
references, self development opportunities, support services, free tickets, and
much more.
The AKcess Consumer Club can provide these
and more.
Because our benefits will be designed with
your individual needs in mind AND because we work with a network (not just one)
of retailers, product distributors, service providers and associations, we can
deliver to you membership benefits that span the full spectrum of available
products, services and information.
As our network grows, so too will your
benefits!
How often will I receive information and/or
offers from AKcess?
The frequency with which you receive communication from AKcess depends on the
particular product/benefits that are relevant to you or that you are subscribed
to. However, we attempt to co-ordinate and minimize the amount of mail you
receive from us, so that it remains manageable and tolerable to you. Typically,
you can expect communication from us quarterly, with a maximum of weekly
messages (for specific products/ campaigns).
Isn’t this type of marketing considered
‘spam’ or ‘junk mail’?
AKcess and AK Insights does not support spam or junk mail. We will not send you
anything you do not wish to receive. Our program is operated on the basis of
“permission-based marketing”. This simply means that if do not want to be
contacted, then you only need to tell us this once, and you will be immediately
removed from our mailing lists. It’s your choice.
The service we provide serves one purpose and
one purpose only– to provide YOU with as much value added information, products,
offers, etc., that are relevant to you.
If you do feel that AKcess does not provide
you with any added value, then it is within your right to decline membership and
request that further communication with you cease.
We respect your choices and your right to
subscribe or un-subscribe to the AKcess Consumer Club.
How do I know my information won’t get into
the wrong hands?
We treat your personal details with the utmost confidentiality and ensure that
only designated employees have restricted access to it. We do not share your
personal details with our clients or other third parties.
We do not and will not ask you to provide any
financial details about yourself or your family. Any request contrary to this
should be immediately reported to AK Insights.
Our data servers are password and firewall
protected. Any paper documents we might retain are kept on secured premises.
We therefore go to great lengths to ensure
that the personal details you entrust with us are duly protected and are not
given to any client or third party without your expressed consent or
instructions.
